By submitting a manuscript to this journal, authors declare that:

  • They have been authorized by their co-authors to enter into this agreement.
  • The work described in this manuscript has not been previously published in any form, except in abstract form or as part of a presentation, review, thesis, or overlay journal that has been published.
  • That the work is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere,
  • That its publication has been approved by all authors and by the appropriate authority – implicitly or explicitly – of the institution where the work was performed.
  • They guarantee the right to reproduce material that has been published or is copyrighted elsewhere.
  • They agree to the following license and copyright agreement.

Copyright

  • Authors who publish their work in the JIOK Journal: Journal of Sports Science and Health agree to the following terms:
  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), which allows others to share the work with acknowledgment of the original work and its initial publication in this journal.
  • Authors may enter into separate and additional contracts for non-exclusive distribution of the journal-published version of the work (e.g., uploading it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), provided that the original publication in this journal is acknowledged.
  • Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in an institutional repository or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as this may stimulate productive exchange, as well as increase and accelerate citations of the published work.

  • Other data publication licenses may be permitted as exceptions (with case-by-case approval from the editor) and must be justified by a written statement from the author, which will be published alongside the article.

Publication and Sharing of Open Data and Software

This journal strives to maximize the reproducibility of the research published in it. Authors are required to share all data, code, or protocols underlying the research reported in their articles. Except in certain cases where exceptions are permitted, these exceptions must be explained in a written statement accompanying the article. Data and software must be permanently stored and archived in an appropriate, trusted, public, or field-specific repository (please refer to http://service.re3data.org and/or software repositories such as GitHub, GitLab, Bioinformatics.org, or equivalent). Permanent identifiers associated with the dataset (e.g., DOI, or others) must be included in the data or software resources section of the article. References to the dataset and software must also be included in the article's reference list with the DOI (if available). If no field-specific data repository is available, authors must store their datasets in a general repository such as ZENODO, Dryad, Dataverse, or others. Small data can also be published as data files or supplementary packages for research articles, but authors are advised to always store data in a data repository.
