Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Society, Community and Business Development (SCBD) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original works and must not contain any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, or inappropriate citation practices.

Every submitted manuscript is screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process. The editorial team evaluates the similarity report to distinguish acceptable overlaps, such as references, commonly used terminology, and properly quoted materials, from potential plagiarism.

SCBD generally accepts manuscripts with a similarity index of no more than 20%, excluding references, bibliography, and properly quoted text. However, editorial decisions are based not only on the overall similarity percentage but also on the nature, source, and context of the matched content.

If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified during the editorial or peer-review process, the manuscript will be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to take appropriate corrective actions, including publishing a correction, issuing a retraction, removing the article from the journal website if necessary, and notifying the author's affiliated institution when appropriate.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are properly acknowledged and cited, and that any use of copyrighted material has obtained the necessary permissions.

By submitting a manuscript to SCBD, authors confirm that their work is original, has not been published elsewhere, is not under consideration by another journal, and complies with the journal's publication ethics and plagiarism policy.
