This study aims to examine the internalization of A.M. Sangadji’s heroic values in history education as a means to strengthen character education in schools. A.M. Sangadji, a resistance figure from Maluku, is known for his courage, integrity, nationalism, and loyalty to local culture. Using a qualitative approach through literature review and content analysis, this research identifies core values that can be integrated into history learning materials. The findings show that A.M. Sangadji has significant potential as a character education figure, especially in promoting patriotism, moral courage, strong principles, and leadership rooted in community service. The study recommends the enhancement of local-based historical learning as an effective strategy to instill national character in a contextual and meaningful way. The heroic values of A.M. Sangadji are an important asset in the nation's character education. The implementation of these values in history learning can be carried out through a local approach, character reflection, creative projects, and cross-sector collaboration.By highlighting local heroes such as A.M. Sangadji, history education can go beyond recounting past events to shaping young generations with strong character and national awareness.
